A Great Big Tree is a gift for my grandpa and everyone who misses him.

I’ve turned the paintings he left behind and my memories of him into a world you can step into. Beginning in a gallery, you’ll wander beneath the trees and along the water’s edge in his paintings, find scattered sketches, make your way through the mist, and bring every flower into bloom… As you explore, the narration will gently unfold his story.

The great tree stands at the heart of this world. Trees were a recurring subject in his later paintings, and they also reflect how I remember him: resilient, dependable, and quietly sheltering those around him. 

Through this gift, I hope to let those memories of him linger a little longer.

《好大一棵树》是一份送给外公，也送给每一个思念他的人的礼物。

我把外公留下的画作和关于他的记忆，做成了一个可以走进去的世界。你会从展厅出发，走进画中的树下与水边，寻找散落的手稿，穿过迷雾，让所有花朵盛开……随着探索推进，旁白会慢慢讲起他的故事。

我选择大树作为这个世界的主体，既因为树是外公后期画作中反复出现的主题，也因为它承载着我对他的印象：坚韧、可靠，默默为身边的人撑起一片荫凉。

我想用这份礼物，让那些关于他的记忆，多停留一会儿。
